Boots

Shabby, worn, battered boots Trailing tattered laces, Black as a dingy night, Scuffed, no longer shining. Sweat-filled functional boots, Dog-eared and unforgiven, Kicked, tossed to a corner, Not an ounce of care given. Grungy, used, abused boots Moulded to the shape of Toiling trudging feet Stinking, honest work-boots. Steel-toe-capped-comfort, Six-days-a-week boots, Taken for granted... Until they wear out!
